Swim lessons Descriptions of levels

Description of levels

®Aqua Babies (Marlee location only), is a unique class for parents and babies (5- 24 months) It’s a combination of fitness and fun for everyone. Each one hour class includes a 30 minute aquafit workout for the parent and a 30 minute swimming class for the child.

®Parent and Tots
A rewarding water experience for adults with young children. The program introduces infants and toddlers to the joys of water activity, and teaches parents and caregivers how to ensure safety at all times while in, on and around water. Infants begin when they can hold their head up independently, and stay with it until they are ready to move up to Red Cross Swim Preschool , usually at age three.

Red Cross Preschool
A 7 level program for children 2 to 5 years of age. Progression for lower levels is based on participation and age. Preschoolers aged 3 to 5 move through the upper levels based on skill evaluation.

Red Cross Swim Kids
The 10 levels of Swim Kids ensure that swimmers progress gradually as their maturity, physical strength and abilities develop. Each level provides the student with swimming (strokes) improvement and water safety knowledge, for a well-rounded water experience.
